Made of 2.5mm hand-brushed stainless steel (1.4301) and Teflon-mounted joints, it is virtually indestructible. The ground tips guarantee lasting sharpness and the highest precision. The lockable wheel at the top of the compass virtually eliminates accidental adjustment of the measured measurements during normal use.

The golden compass is a very helpful tool in horse podiatry to obtain valuable information when trimming a barefoot or shod hoof.

By visualizing one or more stress points on the heels, you can use the golden compass to find out the correct length of heels that the horse needs to have a correct posture at that time.
